Chimes Square is hopping all weekend long with summer fun for the whole family! Bring your folding chairs and enjoy free movies, music, and theatre under the stars in Overton Square's beautiful outdoor courtyard beginning this Thursday.

On Thursday come out for the last Chimes Square Movie Nights of the season, take in a free concert on Friday with the Harmonic South String Orchestra, and get a sneak preview of Circuit Playhouse's Dreamgirls on Saturday evening. On Sunday, head to The Square for the annual Independence Celebration in Chimes Square with live music, vintage fire trucks, and much more!

Wine and local beers available for purchase; folding chairs and blankets welcome.

Thursday: Chimes Square Movie Nights

On Thursday, come out for the last Chimes Square Movie Night of the season with the summertime classic The Sandlot and enter for a chance to win movie tickets from Malco Theaters and a classic wind chime from Woodstock Chimes.

Movie begins at 8:00 pm in Chimes Square. Free & open to the public. 

Friday: Harmonic South String Orchestra

The Harmonic South String Orchestra presents a pop-up concert in Overton Square showcasing the work of talented Memphis students. A nonprofit focused on bringing stringed instrument training to South Memphis students, the Harmonic South String Orchestra instills students with a lifetime love of music.

Show begins at 6:30 pm in Chimes Square. Free & open to the public. 

Saturday: Playhouse on the Square - Dreamgirls

Catch bonus selected performances from Playhouse's Dreamgirls, with select numbers from the blockbuster Broadway musical- now playing at Playhouse on the Square.

Sunday: Overton Square's Independence Celebration in Chimes Square

The Square's annual Independence Celebration kicks off to the rockin' sounds of Graber Grass Band's toe-tapping bluegrass music during this free outdoor concert and celebration. Climb on the fun vintage fire trucks, pop into the Amurica Photo Booth for a memento of the fun, cool off in the misting fans, and enjoy kid-friendly crafts stations in Chimes Square.
