Get ready to experience the solar eclipse at Overton Square!
The last time the US experienced a full solar eclipse was in 1979. On August 21st, beginning before noon and ending at 3pm, Memphis will be able to view the eclipse at a 94% totality rate.
Join us at the Tower Courtyard for a small viewing event to experience the eclipse for yourself!
We'll have 50 solar eclipse glasses that we'll give out on a first come, first serve basis.
Wherever you're viewing the eclipse, remember: It's unsafe to look at the sun without eclipse-rated glasses with ISO 12312-2 certification.
