Shelby County Historian and noted tour guide Jimmy Ogle hosts an unforgettable Sunday afternoon tour of the history of Overton Square. From its early 20th century roots to the Square’s extensive 1970s revival, subsequent decline, and revitalization in 2014, explore the stories and legends behind Overton Square.
The tour departs from the Gyroscopic Sculpture at the corner of Madison and Cooper. Free to attend. Advance registration is not required. However, the tour is limited to 20 participants. Please arrive early to ensure a space.
