Sunday, July 1st – Independence Celebration in Chimes Square – 7pm to 9pm – Free

Join Overton Square on Sunday, July 1, for their annual family-friendly Independence Celebration in Chimes Square. Enjoy the rockin’ sounds of Graber Grass Band’s toe-tapping Bluegrass music during this free outdoor concert and celebration. Memphis Firefighters, First Responders, and the Fire Museum of Memphis join the party with fun vintage fire trucks and will be on hand to teach the youngest visitors important summer fire safety tips. Pop into the Amurica Photo Booth for a memento of the fun, cool off by the misting fans and enjoy kid-friendly crafts. A selection of snacks, local beers, and seasonal refreshments will be available for purchase. Folding chairs and blankets are welcome; no coolers or outside alcoholic beverages, please. This concert is free and open to the public. The Independence Celebration is proud to welcome Alpha Omega Veterans Services, Inc., helping Memphis’ homeless and disabled military veterans through support services.
