The 2018 Bayou Overton Square Crawfish Festival took over Midtown Memphis on Saturday.
Festivities included live music from local acts, beer and of course plenty of boiled crawfish.
Madison Avenue was packed with people twisting, pinching and devouring piles of crawfish in support of Special Olympics of Greater Memphis.
The Director of Special Olympics, Lisa Taylor, says events like these are so important for the organization, "It means a lot to us. If it wasn't for this - everything we do is at no cost for our athletes and their parents and caregivers. So fundraisers like this are so important to help keep our programs going."
A VIP tent was also available for those who wanted to eat crawfish all day for one price.
And, of course, there was a competition to see who could eat mudbugs the fastest.
