Fall in Memphis is packed full of fun events and festivals. Here’s your guide to all of them, late August through early November.

– Mid-South Book Festival, Playhouse on the Square & Circuit Playhouse, September 10, price TDB, all ages
More than 50 local and national authors will come to Memphis for five days of literary bliss this September. Expect speakers, book signings, vendors, workshops, and entertainment, all benefitting Literacy Mid-South. Last year, of couple of the workshops required you to buy tickets, but most of the events were free. I’ll update price info when I get it.

– Bona Fide Blues Festival, Overton Square venues, September 30 – October 1, free / $25 / $100 VIP, all ages
The second annual Bona Fide Blues Festival will bring 30+  acts from a 100-mile-radius of Memphis to play two days of shows. The outdoor shows are free, and wristbands for access to the shows at Lafayette’s and the Blue Monkey are $25 for both days.

– Bristerfest, Overton Square Tower Courtyard, October 8, noon – 8 p.m., free (donations appreciated)
Bristerfest is back in the fall again this year to celebrate local music, arts and crafts vendors, and more. The whole thing is in support of GrowMemphis, so be sure to bring some extra cash for donations. Lineup coming soon.

– Indie Memphis Film Festival, Multiple Venues, November 1-7, ticket and schedule info TBA
The annual Indie Memphis Film Festival will no doubt be another amazing weekend of filmmakers, panels, awards, and lots and lots of films. This year, the Fest is expanding to include venues in downtown Memphis, midtown, East Memphis, and Collierville.
