Thousands gathered at Overton Square for the Fifth Annual Memphis "Stars and Stripes 5K" benefiting the American Red Cross.
Local 24 cares is the exclusive television sponsor of the event.
Runners took their mark tonight at seven wound their way through midtown and raised money for the Red Cross "Ready Shelby" program

Nearly 2000 people took part in the event.
