Independence Day In Memphis: Hot dogs, flags, fireworks, and all the ‘merica loving the Midsouth can handle. Here’s a list of Memphis Fourth of July celebrations around town. The events with fireworks are marked with (*).

Stars and Stripes 5K, Overton Square, July 2, 7 p.m., $25 advance / $30 on race day
The annual Stars and Stripes 5K is a rare thing – a race that starts at 7 p.m. instead of 7 a.m. The race will start and finish at a new venue this year – Overton Square – and they’ll have live music and a post-race party.
