Belly Acres Chef Winner at James Beard Foundation's Better Burger Project

Overton Square restaurant Belly Acres snagged one of five winning spots in the James Beard Foundation's Better Burger Project.

The contest challenged more than 220 chefs from across the country to build a "better burger" by blending ground meat with finely chopped mushrooms to create a more healthful and sustainable option. Customers voted on Instagram by sharing photos with the #BetterBurgerProject tag.
