Le Chardonnay Space Changing

Le Chardonnay will officially become Bayou Bar & Grill next week, and by the end of the year, the walls will have come down, and one large restaurant and bar will operate where the two have been since 2008.

“The actual expansion will take months, but we’ll go ahead and change the signs next week,” said Bill Baker, owner of both places.

Baker opened the wine bar Le Chardonnay in Palm Court, across Madison where Zebra Lounge is presently housed, in 1983, and followed with Bayou Bar & Grill in 1987, in the space where Belly Acres is now. Both moved to the north side of Madison in 2008, when the south side underwent redevelopment.
